Affluent buying behaviour in Asia 09/2011
Asia's wealthy ranks, despite their trademark entrepreneurship, are definitively conservative in personal wealth management, with a particular fondness for cash and probably real estate. They are risk‐averse and invest predominately at home. But a group of newly rich is quietly changing the equation. 'Something quite different from this year is, the average affluent Asian is getting younger,particularly in China and India, probably the result of fast‐growing economy and the wealth being created. Asia minting millionaires despite market volatility - status quo and outlook 10/2011
Asia will continue to be at the forefront of wealth creation, minting millionaires at a faster pace than any other region in the world, despite the recent market volatility, according to experts in private wealth. Outlook international tourist 2020 10/2011
International tourism will continue to grow in the period 2010-2030, but at a more moderate pace than the past decades, with the number of international tourist arrivals worldwide increasing by an average 3.3% a year. As a result, an average 43 million additional international tourists will join the tourism marketplace every year. At the projected pace of growth, arrivals will pass the 1 billion mark by 2012, up from 940 million in 2010.
